Building Construction Level 1 & 2

Students will be given knowledge and skills in theoretical and practical according to the actual working processes in the field of building construction craft covering general safety, maintenance of hand tools, to operate machinery and ability to read and interpret architectural plans. Students will also be exposed to the basic construction work such as concrete mixing technique, compaction, bending and tying reinforcing steel, plastering skill, tiling, bricklaying, assembling and installing formwork.

Building Construction Level 3

Students will be given knowledge and skills in theoretical and practical according to the actual working processes in the field of building construction craft covering general safety, maintenance of hand tools, machineries, and ability to read and interpret architectural plans. Students will also be exposed to the basic construction work such as concrete mixing technique, compaction, bending and tying reinforcing steel, plastering skills, tiling, bricklaying, assembling and installing formwork. [This program also provides a comprehensive knowledge in construction site supervision which include project planning, work organization and job evaluation, cost control, effective communication skills, scheduling systems and the 'taking off' calculation based on drawing, costing for labour, materials and machines or equipment used.]

Malaysian Skills Certificate (MSC) / Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)

The Malaysian Skills Certificate (MSC) or Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Programme is aimed at establishing coordinated skills training system attuned to the country’s development goals and needs. It is also meant to promote the development of skills training as well as to certify skill competencies in the area of hospitality, tourism and services industry.
